The most innovative fund concepts

For the FERI EuroRating Award 2016 in the special mentions category Fund Innovations, FERI has nominated five funds. The funds set up by Ampega, Apo Asset Management, Finreon, Pictet Funds and Robeco all tackle different mega trends.

The FERI EuroRating Services AG has nominated five especially innovative funds for the FERI EuroRating Award 2016 in the special mentions category Fund Innovations. According to Dr. Tobias Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer of FERI EuroRating Services, it is crucial in this category, that asset managers can score with innovative products. Because the concepts are very different and very new to the market, the evaluation cannot be done using the typical analysis of performance and risk characteristics. The qualitative evaluation of fund innovations, was pursued by a jury of known experts.

The five nominated fund concepts are:

  • The Ampega GenderPlus Aktienfonds managed by Ampega Investment invests in German companies that pay attention to an balanced number of women and men on board of directors and in their management.
  • As, according to FERI, the first multi-asset fund on the megatrend of health care, the apo Medical Balance form Apo Asset Management invests in shares and bonds from health care companies form all around the world.
  • The Finreon Sustainable Emerging Markets Equity IsoProvon from Finreon invests in sustainable emerging market companies using a minimum variance approach.
  • Tackling megatrends such as automatisation and scarce resources, the Pictet Robotics managed by Pictet invests in companies form the robotics- and automation industry.
  • The Robeco Global Multi-Factor Credits Fonds from Robeco uses multi factor investing on investment grade corporate bonds.

The winner will be announced on November 24 in Bad Homburg during an award presentation. The awards are awarded for the ninth year by now.
