Zum 1. Mai 2021 übernimmt Georg Niemeyer bei der Union Investment Real Estate GmbH in Hamburg die Leitung Datenmanagement, Reporting & Systeme. Er folgt auf Lars Scheidecker, der zum 1. September 2020 in die Geschäftsführung der Union Investment Real Estate Digital GmbH, einem Technologie-Spin-Off von Union Investment, wechselte.
Georg Niemeyer wird die Gesamtverantwortung für die in vier Gruppen organisierten Themenbereiche Strategisches Datenmanagement, Datenmanagement Immobilien, Datenmanagement Kosten und Budgets sowie Reporting Services Immobilien tragen. In dieser Funktion wird er insbesondere die datengetriebene Unternehmenssteuerung und die Weiterentwicklung des Datenmanagements im In- und Ausland vorantreiben.
Der 41-jährige Wirtschaftsinformatiker (Master of Science in Information Systems – MSc IS) wechselt von der Otto Group, in der er in den letzten neun Jahren in verschiedenen Funktionen, zuletzt als Head of Data Management & Technology, tätig war. Vor seiner Zeit bei der Otto Group arbeitete Georg Niemeyer bei verschiedenen Unternehmen der IT- und Prozessberatung mit den Schwerpunkten Business Intelligence sowie Finance & Performance Management.
