Kyoto Group inaugurated the world’s largest industrial thermal energy storage system, Heatcube, at KALL Ingredients in Hungary. The 56 MWh Heatcube will provide over 30 GWh of clean process heat annually, reducing up to 8,000 tons of CO emissions. Morten Bülow, CEO of Kyoto Group, highlighted the sustainable and emission-free steam supply to KALL Ingredients. The strategic partnership with Kyotherm and Energiabörze enabled the project under a 15-year Heat-as-a-Service agreement. The Heatcube offers increased flexibility in utilizing renewable energy and contributes to industrial decarbonization. The technology behind Heatcube efficiently stores renewable energy to generate steam for industrial processes. Kyoto Group aims to decarbonize industrial heat production and empower industries with renewable thermal energy.
